The duty of a graphic designer is to assemble motion graphics, typography and/or images to create a design or graphic.
Graphic artists create graphics mainly for electronic or printed media. More and more graphic designers today are expected to be knowledgeable on designing user interfaces, webpages.

Art Design Jobs: Logo Creation
Logo designers are responsible for taking information about a company or product and creating a design that represents what the company stands for or is trying to sell. Logo designer jobs can involve any number of things and can really test the designers’ creativity. Logo designing is also a part of the brand identity process. Usually logo designing is not a standalone job category and is just something expected of a graphic designer.
Illustrator – Art Jobs
Illustrators brainstorm and produce designs that represent a story or an idea. Illustrators produce drawings for books, magazines, packaging, greeting cards, calendars, and more.
They use a variety of mediums from pencil to digital formatting, to create their designs. Sometimes illustration is only a secondary skill requirement of graphics designer jobs such as a photo editor or layout designer.
A Challenging Job: Web Designer
A web graphic designer job requires that the designer’s proficiency in HTML (HyperText Markup Language). In addition to HTML, the designer must know Javascript, which can be used to create webpages that are compatible with a wide range of hardware and software. The designer must have working knowledge of the most up-to-date HTML extensions which make it possible to add special features to web pages such as animations and interactive surveys.
Web designers are responsible for creating the look and feel of webpages for a client’s website. Designing a webpage, like logo design, involves developing a design that effectively communicates the ideas being promoted by the site.
Usually, the client will tell the designer how they want the layout, organization, colors, and images (if any) to fit on the page. Once the basic concept is agreed upon, the designer must convert all text and images into a format in which they can be viewed online. Web designer jobs also include creating pages that can be viewed on any type of browser.
Multimedia Design Graphic Jobs
Multimedia design is a way of communicating information or an idea and is usually in an interactive manner. This comes in a variety of forms like websites, CD-ROMs, or television. Television is an example of non-interactive media.
Multimedia developers should be skilled in manipulating images and information from a variety of sources including video, still images, audio, animation, and text using computer applications and related visual and sound techniques.
Multimedia developers sometimes stem from a graphic design background and apply those talents to flash designer jobs or media interactivity.
